September marks the start of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Watching nature begin a new season, this month’s theme is RENEWAL. With COVID-19 as part of the new normal, we are called to reimagine the way we live.
At KORUMO we work with leaders to become the change they want to see. Constant renewal is an important part of this, at a personal and organizational level. Renewal can look like finding a new path in life, cultivating authentic leadership, or engaging stakeholders in new ways.
In our Chief Navigator’s blog titled “Is coaching the new therapy” Mo Salomon discusses the journey towards one’s greater purpose.
‘Coaches stimulate clients to recognize patterns that hold them back and to take steps to try out new ways. Many of such patterns, are habits or routines that are rooted in the past. In some cases, a pattern can evoke a strong emotional response, and even block the client from moving forward’.
Thus, the journey of renewal is born.
Sammy Njenga and Dr Kerry Frizelle share how coaching helped them to navigate their PhD journey. Katlego Chibamba and Liberty Matthyse talk about staff competencies needed to manage emotions and trauma in the workplace. Mo Salomon shares their journey of renewing their yoga practice using a trauma-sensitive lens.
